Eye-opening. Disappointed. Saddened.
the spacious and wonderfully decorated lobby-bar.
The neighborhood. The streets were dirty, and there are lots of rowdy, confrontational young men sauntering around. In the evening, the Fleet Hotel actually had a security man guarding the front door. He advised me not to go out in the evening because of the danger.

It was central for most things we wanted to see or do
Our room was at the back of the property. The window looked onto the back of at least one pub which could be very noisy at night and in the morning when they had beer deliveries

What was the highlight of The Fleet
Great location, good bar, right next door to one of the best bars in Dublin.
Location of hotel is great, easy access to all the places you would want to go. The hotel is on a busy street, and if you are there over a weekend it can get a little loud. But its a great hotel with a wonderful bar also.
Small rooms, the accessible showers are horrible as water goes everywhere in the bathroom. This makes the drying of towels also very challenging as there is a lot of moisture in the air. There was also no AC in the room; the fan provided helped, but it wasnt great, and that meant open windows, which let in a lot of noise in the night. There was also internal repairs going on very early in the morning when we were there, I would not have expected drilling at 7am right outside my door!
